During the Stone Temple Pilots weekend show in Toronto, Scott Weiland sang accapella to dispel rumors he has been lip synching on tour. STP also covered Led Zeppelin’s 'Dancing Day'.

Scott told fans at another show. "There has never been a time in the 25-plus years that I have been singing with these guys, or a combination of these guys, or with other musicians, that I have not sang. So, whoever started that bulls**t claim, like so many other bulls**t claims... it's such a travesty. We are a rock 'n' roll band. Rock 'n' roll bands perform live."

Ozzy Osbourne says he once sat next to a dead man on a plane. "I was on a plane once to America and the bloke next to me began making funny noises while eating his nuts. Next thing, I was sitting next to a corpse.

The worst thing was having to press the buzzer to call for a flight attendant, then explain why a bloke who'd been alive a few minutes earlier was suddenly face-down on his tray table. In the end they put a blanket over him and moved me to a seat in first class with champagne."

Dave Grohl says he is not the nicest man in rock. "It's funny to be because the guys in my band would probably tell you otherwise. Certain things make my claws come out and turn me from trademark nicest guy in rock to a f***ing very different person. Because I do have borders and boundaries. "There's certain things where I'm like,'Man, don't even f***ing go there.'"

He tells Cincinnati.com, "Tyler told me just a couple of days ago he signed his papers to join the show. As far as he knew, everything's set to go. I think everybody's a little worn out. The tour is winding up, and we don't know when we'll work again as a band. That part of it is up in the air, and it's starting to hit home."

Guns N Roses' performance at the Reading Festival ended in chaos over the weekend. The band started an hour late and then had their mikes killed at 11:30 p.m. local time. Axl Rose tried to sing through a megaphone, but gave up and left the stage.

Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots launched his clothing line, Weiland For English Laundry, in Canada on August 29th. He says, "From early on, I was inspired by rock icons like David Bowie and Keith Richards who helped in molding my personal sense of style."

Sharon Osbourne says she hates driving with Ozzy. “He’s got a lead foot on that break and that means I get a bad neck each time I’m in the car with him. I’m up and down so much that it feels like I’m on a horse rather than in a car. He never used to be interested in them but now he reads all the car magazines. He buys driving gloves and he’s even bought himself a few flash cars like a Ferrari and a Jag.”

Kings of Leon star Caleb Followill says he no longer cares about CD sales because of how wealthy he is. "We're already plenty rich, we don't need it. We're like thousand-aires, multiple thousands, multiple. This record has got a little bit of every record we've ever made to this point. All the people that only know us from the last record - which is quite a few people - we wanted to show them a little bit of our background and the kind of music that we've been trying to make all the while."

John Cusack and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder may star in a new movie based on the book “The Curse: Cubs Win! Cubs Win! … Or Do They?” Cusack would play fictional Cubs manager Mike Callan.

When asked about a request from the producers of Glee, Jared says, "I've never seen that show. Apparently everyone loves it. We had some people call us up wanting to know if we'd allow Use Somebody to appear in the trailer... I was like, 'Man, don't even waste your energy.'"

Jason Bonham plans to perform with his late father, John, when he tours. "You'll see old movies of me as a child with dad, playing the drums and dad and I are going to play Moby Dick together. We're creating it from the two main video and audio choices we have, which are the 1970 Royal Albert Hall show and The Song Remains the Same movie. I'll also play with him on When the Levee Breaks. That's one of the hardest songs to replicate, so, rather than fight it, I thought, 'Come on dad, let's play this one together.' We're editing footage of him playing and cutting it so that he's looking at me. I'm really looking forward to that."

Chris Cornell is interested in recording new music with Soundgarden. He says, "It would be exciting to record one song, to hear how Soundgarden-ish that might be this much time later. I'm just really lucky."

Joe Elliot says Def Leppard is taking a year off. "We're taking a year off. I'm doing this new band Down 'N Outz because I have the time. After you have a hit like Hy steria and you're signed to the corporate machine it becomes an albatross around your neck. As much as our music is anthemic rock 'n' roll it's a business at the end of the day. It's stressful and gets harder each time you make a record. No one's comparing this to Hysteria, it's got nothing to do with it. It's a refreshing change. It's like being a teenager in a 50-year-old body."

I could play my mother or Lemmy from Motorhead!"  Ozzy also says his upcoming tour will be his last. “This is going to be my last tour. I don’t want to be on the road for this long anymore. I have to stay in one place for a while, that’s why we’re taking a few breaks in between.”

I love his playing; he's one of the greats. But it was the drink getting the better of him. I couldn't watch him die."

Slash says the rock music scene is weak. "I usually hate talking about the state of rock music, because there's nothing positive to say about it. The whole vibe of new, exciting hard rock bands seems non-existent right now.

I always say that the heavy metal spirit is alive and well and holding its own, but the broader rock 'n' roll thing of bands like AC/DC or Guns N' Roses seems pretty slim. The rock 'n' roll spirit is extremely diminished.

"There's no shortage of bands out there trying to make it, but they're hard pressed to get a foot in the door. There's no movement on the streets."

Me and Vince Neil are really great friends, and we're talking about doing something really cool with the two of us solo, or maybe it could be Motley Crue and Poison, their 30th anniversary and our 25th, and go out together."

Slash says he continues to wear a top hat because it brings him comfort. "You can pull it down, pull your hair down over your face and just sort of hide behind that. I've always been a little nervous in front of crowds," he added, "and that made it - made me - feel a lot more comfortable."

It's really fun to watch them because they do things in such a DIY (do it yourself) way. So I can talk to him about that kind of stuff and he's fascinated with the whole Do It Yourself punk rock scene. He loves going to record stores and hanging with the other punk kids at his school."

Slash ripped Nicklelback during an interview with the Daily Telegraph. When asked about the current state of rock he responded, "The spirit of rock and roll is there, but the industry has been homogenised. It's not rock anymore. It moves in and out of pop. I mean, Nickleback aren't a rock act and, in the end, fans get disinterested after being spoon fed the same sh*t."

Slash says he expects Velvet Revolver to reunite in 2011. "We're going to reconvene next year, look at the singers again, and try to find the right guy to make the most bitchin' Velvet Revolver record... Velvet Revolver still exists."

Ace Frehley says he is planning to write a tell-all book about KISS. "It's gonna be memoirs, you know. I just turned 59, (so) I think it's about time I start getting the stuff out and writing it down on paper before I forget it. It's hard for me to remember a lot of the stuff, so what I've been doing is getting together with people I used to work with, and they usually have better memories of situations than myself.
